My name is Sandra Dukes and I have a small cattery located a couple of hours south of Sydney,  Australia. I originally bought a Turkish Van female kitten for show and maybe to breed in late  1992 and had my first litter of kittens under the prefix of Alainn in 1993. In 1998 new lines  were needed but with none available to import, I decided to close down my breeding and  desex all my Vans.   A friend suggested I look at the Norwegian Forest Cats and I was hooked. At the time there were no Norwegians  in Australia and I found my first cat to import from Denmark. Unfortunately this didn’t work out. I then found  two cats in Norway - Aria and Aladdin - and the (at the time) hard task started to bring them to Australia.  Although due to arrive in December 1998, they didn’t arrive until February 1999. My last Van litter and my first  Norwegian litter were born in 1999. I imported two more cats, Gry from Sweden and Halfdan from Norway later  that year. In 2004 another boy was imported, my blue male Gunn. In 2009, I imported another male from  Sweden, Graffiti. I have been captivated by this affectionate, playful breed and can’t imagine owning any other  breed of cat. I am a member of NSW Cat Fanciers Association and an associate member of Capital Cats. I try to show fairly  regularly in Sydney and Canberra as it takes approximately the same amount of time to get to either city.  Please check out my page "Kittens"  for photographs and information on kittens currently or soon to be ready for placement into suitable caring homes. For further information about the breed, my kittens, showing or any  other queries, please ring or email me.  My goal is to breed Norwegians of stunning type, health and temperament.
